Yinki Moonrise

As Yinki Moonrise, I create portals to the cosmos through my songs. My life's goal is to transform pain into purpose and break free from the traps caused by generational wounds. Through my music, I explore generational healing, cycle breaking, spirituality, longing, and transformation. My sound is a blend of Lana Del Rey's cinematic melancholy, Chappell Roan's raw emotionality, SZA's intimate vulnerability, and Jhené Aiko's spiritual tones.

Born and raised of Cantonese descent and now based in London, my artistry reflects my journey as a third-culture creative navigating displacement, belonging, and self-discovery. I dive into a visual and narrative world rooted in lunar mythology, pearls, mirrors, and the colour teal. These mirror how I feel a lot of the time, flowing through liminal spaces: not quite blue, not quite green … somewhere in-between.

My purpose is to create music that is a sanctuary of softness and awakening — sonic portals where we can dive deep into our worthiness.
